Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Frank Stringfellow Camp #822:

March 21, 2010.
Social hour, supper, and meeting at 5:00 pm followed by 6pm lecture.

Local author Chuck Mauro will discuss his just released, fifth book, A Southern Spy in Northern Virginia:  The Civil War Album of Laura Ratcliffe.  It concerns an album that Confederate Brigadier General J.E.B. Stuart gave to Laura in the spring of 1862.  They met while she was tending to his wounded soldiers after the Battle of Dranesville in late December 1861.  Laura lived on Centreville Road south of Herndon in an area called Frying Pan.  Copies of his book may be purchased afterwards.

We will meet at:

Panera Bread, 3955 Chain Bridge Rd (corner of Chain Bridge Rd. & North St.), Fairfax, VA, 22030.

You can order sandwiches, soups, salads, or baked goods when you arrive then proceed to our tables.

Please come out to the meetings and have good fellowship with your compatriots.
